When is the Lab open?
Open Lab:
Open for everyone! Anyone can get creative here and work with our technologies free of charge. In our Open Lab, we deliberately take the time to answer your questions, help you with problems and explain the technologies to you. If you are still unsure how exactly the machines are operated, come to the next Open Lab and we will show you!
Wednesday, 14 p.m. to 20 p.m.
Uni-Lab:
Exclusively for members of the University of Siegen! Here you can implement work for the University or your own projects with our technologies free of charge. We give you access to the tools, provided you are already familiar with the technologies. Due to our own workload, we unfortunately do not have the capacity to give you detailed explanations and assistance with the technologies on Uni-Lab days.
Excluded are the first and third Monday of each month from 11:30 – 12:30!
On the first Monday of each month, we offer you an Introduction to Lasercutting and explain how to operate the machines, however, you should be able to create the designs yourself.
On the third Monday of the month, we will be happy to give you an Introduction to 3D-Printing and explain how to slice and operate the machine. The topics of 3D modeling and design will not be covered. Please register at , stating the date and workshop format.
Outside of this, there will be no introductions to the technologies on the Uni-Lab days!
Who can come to the Lab?
All people are welcome. You don’t have to be a student to come to Fab Lab. Young people under 14 need a supervisor.
Do I have to register?
No, you do not need to register. Just come to our opening times.
