When is the Lab open?
Until further notice: not at all.
Wednesdays from 10-16
The closure is in effect until further notice, but that could change at any time depending on the pandemic situation. If something changes, you will find out here!
Who can come to the Lab?
For the time being: No one.
Students of the Human Computer Interaction and Business Informatics programs at the University of Siegen. Please only come to the Lab if you want to work on projects for your studies!
How many people are allowed in the Lab? Maximum 8 people per day – We can only allow 8 people into the Lab per day. No matter if you stay 10 minutes or from morning till afternoon when we close. If there has been 8 people at the Lab in one day, then unfortunately we have to send number 9 back home. This lowers the risk of infection for us and for you.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to stop by for a Mate at the moment.
Do I have to register? Yes, please register in advance by emailing with the subject Registration Wednesday Lab. But you can also register on site.
No safety instruction yet?
Only persons with a safety instruction for our Fab Lab are allowed to work on our machines. Therefore, we offer a safety instruction only for HCI and Business Informatics students of the University of Siegen every Wednesday during opening hoursat 10 am. So if you don’t have one yet and would like to work in the Lab, the safety introduction is where to start! Those who come later and without completed safety instruction, we must unfortunately ask to come back next week. What are your hygiene protection measures? We adhere to the university’s hygiene protection concept and also have our own hygiene protection concept for the laboratory, which is coordinated with the university’s occupational health and safety department. You can view the hygiene protection concept on site. Remember your mouth-to-nose coverage. You will find out everything else on site.
